Job summary

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is seeking a proactive professional to support day-to-day risk control operations in the derivatives market. You will prepare risk management statistics and reports for management and regulators while assisting in the rollout of new products, policies and system enhancements.

The role requires 1–3 years in a financial institution, strong analytical and communication skills, and fluency in English and Chinese with Putonghua an advantage.

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant subject (Risk Management/Finance/Economics/Business Administration)
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in financial institutions
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office; English and Chinese written/spoken skills; Putonghua an advantage

Responsibilities

• Support daily risk control operations in accordance with established rules, policies and procedures
• Prepare regular and ad hoc risk management statistics and reports for management and regulators
• Support rollout of new products, policies and system enhancements
• Handle inquiries from participants and other stakeholders
• Undertake other ad hoc tasks as assigned by supervisors

Job Duties

Responsibilities

• Support daily risk control operations in accordance with established rules, policies and procedures
• Prepare regular and ad hoc risk management statistical and analysis reports to management and regulators
• Support the rollout of new products, new policies and system enhancements
• Handle inquiries from participants and other internal and external stakeholders
• Undertake other ad hoc tasks as assigned by supervisors

Requirements

• University degree holder, preferably in Risk Management / Finance / Economics / Business Administration or related subjects
• 1 – 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in well-established financial institutions
• Good analytical, problem solving and communication skills
• Self-motivated, attention to details and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access), proficiency in Macros and VBA an advantage
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua an advantage
• Shift duties (11am - 8pm) and public holiday support required
