Job summary

Nanyang Commercial Bank Ltd. in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced credit risk professional to oversee NPL management and asset recovery.

You will analyse credit portfolios, coordinate with internal units and external agents, and ensure compliance with safety and legal standards to protect bank interests. The role requires a degree in banking/finance or law, at least two years in credit risk or banking, and strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills in Chinese and English.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant credit risk management or banking experience.
• Experience with NPL management, collateral enforcement, or litigation.
• ECF-CRM would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of NPL documentation and asset enforcement.
• Strong credit analytical and negotiation abilities; good interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in Chinese (incl. Putonghua) and English; good PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor non-performing loans (NPLs) to maximise recovery and to reduce the number of NPL accounts for the Bank.
• Execute the sale of collaterals/disposal of repossessed assets.
• Liaise with outside collection agents on problem loans and manage its progress.
• Prepare credit applications including security enforcement and legal provisions, asset classifications for the NPL accounts.
• Ensure recovery procedures and compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Provide administration and operation support including system projects/enhancement as required from time to time.
