Job summary

Nanofiber Technology (Asia) Limited is seeking an enthusiastic researcher to lead R&D projects on bio-based nanofiber composites, PLA/cellulose-modified materials, fibers and yarns in Hong Kong. You will design experiments, set objectives, and validate material performance through lab and pilot-scale testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop R&D projects on bio-based nanofiber composites, PLA/cellulose-modified materials, fibers, and yarn materials.
• Develop research objectives, experimental methodologies, material specifications, testing plans, and technical validation protocols.
• Design, fabricate, and evaluate material and fiber prototypes for laboratory validation, pilot-scale trials, and performance benchmarking.
• Develop and optimize material formulations, fiber-spinning parameters, compounding methods, and processing conditions to improve material performance, reproducibility, and scalability.
• Conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate mechanical, thermal, barrier, morphological, and other relevant properties of developed materials.
• Analyse experimental data and characterization results to identify performance limitations and guide material formulation and process optimization.
• Collaborate with external research institutes, testing laboratories, and technical manufacturing partners on analytical characterization, technical trials, and pilot-scale process validation.
• Review scientific literature, technical standards, and relevant material research developments to identify potential research directions and improvement opportunities.
