Reporting to the Hong Kong Branch Chief Executive, you will support underwriting, administration and servicing of Marine portfolio across local, regional and international business.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' experience in insurance operations or underwriting support.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the administration of new business, renewals, endorsements and policy documentation.
• Prepare quotations, certificates, underwriting correspondence and reports.
• Maintain underwriting systems, records and data quality.
• Assist with portfolio monitoring, renewal reviews and underwriting analysis.
• Liaise with brokers, shared service teams and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Support Marine direct, reinsurance, regional and international programme business.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and ongoing portfolio development.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Marine Assistant Underwriter to join our Hong Kong Marine team. Reporting to the Chief Executive, Hong Kong Branch, you will support the underwriting, administration and servicing of Berkley Insurance Asia's Marine portfolio across local, regional and international business. Working closely with experienced Marine Underwriters, you will gain exposure to a diverse range of Marine risks while developing your technical underwriting knowledge. • The Successful Candidate

Essential

• 2-5 years' experience in insurance operations, underwriting support, policy administration or a similar role.
• Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Understanding of insurance underwriting processes and policy administration.
