SearchCP is partnering with the Financial Advisory practice of a leading international professional services firm in Hong Kong to recruit an ambitious Manager / Senior Manager - Valuations & Financial Modeling. In this high-impact role, you will perform independent valuations for M&A, financial reporting, corporate restructuring, litigation support, and dispute resolution.

You will lead valuation engagements, construct complex financial models, and mentor a growing team of valuation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics.
• Professional qualification such as CFA, CPA, FMVA is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of valuation experience in an accounting or professional services firm.
• Proficiency with HKFRS and IFRS; strong financial instruments valuation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent valuations for M&A, financial reporting, restructuring, litigation support, and dispute resolution.
• Construct, analyze, and audit bespoke financial models and lead valuation procedures.
• Guide team to prepare valuation reports in line with international standards and HKFRS/IFRS.
• Assist in pitching for new projects through proposals and presentations; build client relationships.
• Plan, supervise, train, and mentor seniors, associates, and interns on valuation methodology.

Position Overview

SearchCP is partnering with the Financial Advisory practice of a leading international professional services firm in Hong Kong to recruit an ambitious Manager / Senior Manager - Valuations & Financial Modeling.

In this high-impact role, you will perform independent valuations for complex mergers & acquisitions, financial reporting, corporate restructuring, litigation support, and commercial dispute resolution. Working closely with senior advisory partners, you will lead valuation engagements, construct complex financial models, and mentor a growing team of valuation professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform independent business, intellectual property (IP), intangible asset, and financial instruments valuations for M&A, litigation support, dispute resolution, financial reporting, and restructurings.
• Construct, analyze, and audit bespoke financial models while setting best practices, workflows, and valuation procedures. Conduct deep market and industry research.
• Guide the team to prepare and deliver high-quality valuation reports in accordance with relevant international valuation standards and HKFRS / IFRS requirements.
• Assist in pitching for new projects—including proposal preparation, technical documents, and presentations—while building long-term client relationships.
• Plan, supervise, train, and mentor seniors, associates, and interns on valuation methodology and host cross-functional learning sessions.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
• CFA, CPA, FMVA, or equivalent professional qualification will be a distinct advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of dedicated valuation experience within an accounting or professional services firm.
• Seasoned user of technical research databases (S&P Capital IQ, Mergermarket, Bloomberg) and expert user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong grasp of core business valuation concepts, proficiency in financial instruments valuation, and familiarity with HKFRS and IFRS.
• Resourceful, self-motivated multi-tasker with exceptional critical thinking, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Open to local candidates as well as overseas professionals requiring Hong Kong employment visa sponsorship.
