Job summary

The ideal candidate should have 5-10 years of underwriting experience with a preference for HNW authority up to USD 10M. Strong bilingual communication and detail-oriented skills are essential for success in this dynamic environment.

Job Overview

The role supports High Net Worth (HNW) Underwriting daily operations, ensuring that all new applications are underwritten consistently and timely according to agreed service levels.

Responsibilities

• Risk assessment by performing financial and medical underwriting.
• Conduct customer due diligence and ensure the company’s Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) risk assessment requirements are met.
• Handle agent enquiries to deliver and clarify underwriting decisions.
• Update underwriting manuals and procedures as required.
• Provide and perform quality underwriting in accordance with the underwriting manual and deliver each underwriting decision to agents in a timely manner.
• Execute the underwriting workflow effectively and continuously monitor the underwriting services to meet the committed service standard.
• Handle ad‑hoc assignments.

Qualifications

• Degree holder with FALU or FLMI is an advantage.
• 5‑10 years of underwriting experience.
• HNW underwriting authority at USD 5M–10M preferred.
• Strong customer‑focus, balancing decisions with customer and business needs.
• Proactive, hardworking, collaborative, strong execution skills, and willing to learn.
• Detail‑oriented with good presentation and communication skills.
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English & Chinese.
• Self‑motivated, independent, and able to work under pressure.
