Generali Life (Hong Kong) Limited seeks a Manager of Finance Transformation to lead the CFO's transformation agenda across Life and Non-Life insurance, driving process simplification, automation, data governance and AI-enabled insights. This role partners with Finance, Actuarial, Risk, Compliance, Operations and Technology to deliver HK IFRS 17 reporting and regulatory initiatives.

The Manager, Finance Transformation leads the CFO's transformation agenda for a Life and Non Life insurance business, improving the effectiveness, efficiency and control of Finance through process simplification and redesign, automation, data and analytics, and the responsible use of AI. The role partners with Finance, Actuarial, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Technology and business teams to deliver change that supports HKIFRS 17 reporting, the Insurance Authority's Risk-based Capital regime, local statutory and regulatory reporting, and Group requirements.
Key responsibilities
Shape and maintain a multi-year Finance transformation roadmap aligned with the CFO's priorities, business strategy and the Hong Kong regulatory agenda
Assess opportunities arising from HKFRS 17, Hong Kong Risk-based Capital, ORSA, statutory reporting and Group requirements; define scope and outcomes; prepare business cases; prioritize investment; manage dependencies
Lead end-to-end reviews of Financial closing and reporting, statutory accounts, Risk-based Capital and regulatory returns, planning and forecasting, expenses, reconciliations, management reporting and actuarial-finance data flows
Simplify and standardize workflows, eliminate manual and low-value activity, strengthen maker-checker and evidence controls, and deploy fit-for-purpose automation using Alteryx, Power Platform, enterprise systems and other approved tools
Improve finance data quality, lineage, accessibility and governance across policy, actuarial, investment and general-ledger data
Sponsor dashboards, management insights and predictive use cases for cash flow, profitability, expenses, capital and solvency
Govern generative and agentic AI in accordance with company policies and applicable Hong Kong requirements, including validation, privacy, cybersecurity, access control, explainability, record retention and human oversight
Act as a trusted adviser to the CFO and Finance leadership team
Build stakeholder commitment, define change impacts, oversee communications and training, and embed ownership in business-as-usual teams
Lead and develop transformation resources and promote a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in data science, Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, or Business
At least 8 years of relevant experience in finance transformation, finance operations, consulting, programme delivery or related roles, including leadership of cross-functional initiatives
Substantial experience in insurance or a closely related regulated financial services environment
Strong understanding of insurance or finance processes, financial controls, management reporting, planning and forecasting, and actuarial-finance data flows
Proven delivery of process redesign, automation, data or systems change with measurable benefits
Practical familiarity with SAP, insurance administration or actuarial systems, Alteryx, Power BI, Power Platform, SQL, cloud data platforms, generative AI or agentic AI
Experience developing business cases and managing project economics, governance, risks, vendors, and senior stakeholders
Working knowledge of HKFRS 17 and Hong Kong insurer statutory and regulatory reporting, including the Insurance Authority's Risk-based Capital framework
