Job summary

Industrial Bank Co., Ltd. Hong Kong Branch seeks an ALM-focused finance professional to manage day-to-day balance sheet activities, optimize profitability and minimize risk.

You will collaborate with business units on ALM issues, prepare ALCO packs, and advise on balance sheet structure and pricing implications. You will support budgeting, implement FTP policy, and maintain robust liquidity risk management with stress tests and contingency plans, while handling HKMA or auditors requests and

Qualifications

• University degree or above in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• Min. 3 years of banking experience, preferably ALM or Management Accounting
• Member of HKICPA, ACCA, CPA (Aust) is a plus
• CFA, FRM or CSTMP will be preferred
• Strong analytical and problem solving mindset, attention to details and ability to work independently
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Knowledge in VBA, R code will be preferred
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin preferred)

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day balance sheet to optimize profitability and minimize risk
• Collaborate closely with business units on ALM issues and ensure regulatory requirements are complied
• Prepare ALCO pack and analysis paper to senior management
• Advise ALCO on the optimal balance sheet structure and its impact on pricing strategies
• Support in the budgeting control process
• Develop, implement and manage the Funds Transfer Pricing policy and process
• Maintain a sound liquidity risk management process with metrics, tools, limits, stress tests and recovery plans
• Analyze Asset and Liability items with NII calculation in required dimension
• Prepare meeting minutes (ALCO and FTP meetings)
• Capable to handle HKMA or Auditors requests
• Support finance related projects to enhance Asset and Liability, Liquidity Management

• Manage the day-to-day balance sheet to optimize the profitability and minimize the risk
• Collaborate closely with business units on ALM issues and ensure the regulatory requirements are fully complied
• Prepare ALCO pack and analysis paper to senior management
• Advise ALCO on the optimal balance sheet structure and its impact on our pricing strategies
• Support in the budgeting control process
• Develop, implement and manage the Funds Transfer Pricing policy and process to ensure the effectiveness of bank's pricing strategies
• Maintain a sound liquidity risk management process by governing the liquidity metrics, measurement tools, risk control limits, early warning indicators, stress tests , contingency funding plan, recovery plan etc.
• Analyze Asset and Liability items with NII calculation in required dimension.
• Prepare meeting minute (i.e. ALCO meeting and FTP meeting)
• Capable to handle HKMA or Auditors request.
• Support finance related project to enhance Asset and Liability, Liquidity Management

Requirements:

• University degree or above in Accounting, Finance or other related discipline
• Min. 3 years of banking experience, preferably solid experience in Asset and Liability Management or Management Accounting
• Member of HKICPA, ACCA, CPA (Aust) is a plus
• Relevant professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM OR CSTMP will be preferred
• Strong analytical and problem solving mindset, attention to details and able to work independently
• Proficient in MS office applications
• Knowledge in VBA, R code will be preferred.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (preferably fluent in Mandarin)
