Job summary

Airport Authority Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned IT leader to drive digital solution delivery and innovation across the HKIA IT roadmap. You will plan, design and implement mission-critical systems while ensuring safe, efficient airport operations and excellent stakeholder collaboration.

The role requires 8+ years in digital delivery, strong PM and certification preferences, and fluency in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in digital solution delivery and IT project management.
• Experience in mission-critical IT environments.
• Certifications in PMP / Agile Scrum Master / UX Design Thinking preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and innovation activities related to technology applications to improve airport experience and operation
• Ensure minimum risks to the live airport operations during the introduction of new IT works or innovation projects
• Keep abreast of the latest trends of technology development and innovation applicable to airport environment, ensuring timely exploration and recommendation for incorporation in IT plan, HKIA technology roadmap or future airport design
• Conduct proof-of-concept to validate if the innovative technology product works as expected
• Embrace the innovation mind-set. Work closely with IT and business units to explore continuous improvement opportunities and enhance the product
• Support HKIA innovation activities for achieving the Smart Airport vision

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or other related disciplines with at least 8 years of relevant experience, of which at least 5 years in digital solution delivery, planning, design, development and system implementation management in organizations with mission-critical complex IT environment
• Possession of professional certifications in Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Scrum Master, User Experience, Design Thinking, or equivalent is preferred
• Experience in innovative technologies such as autonomous vehicles, robots, biometric solutions, AL/ML, data management, IoT or mobile technology is preferred
• In-depth knowledge of IT standards and development experience on airport IT systems and infrastructure is preferred
• Mature, self-motivated, customer-oriented with excellent communication and project management skills
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese with knowledge of Putonghua is preferred
