Job summary

Hebe Haven Yacht Club is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure upkeep and appearance of member facilities under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor. The role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and includes a mix of preventive maintenance, records, and daily operations support.

Required certifications include Electrical Worker Certificate (A0/A2/A3) and Plant Mechanic Certificate; Senior Maintenance Technician may be considered with more experience.

Qualifications

• Electrical Worker Certificate (A0, A2 or A3) is required.
• Plant Mechanic Certificate is required.
• Senior Maintenance Technician may be considered with more experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement preventative maintenance programs under the Maintenance Manager.
• Assist in maintaining fire equipment and security systems.
• Maintain records on maintenance repairs and keep workshop organized.
• Assist in daily Club operations as needed by the Maintenance Manager.
• Set up annual service programs for HHYC equipment and source parts/materials.
• Organize HHYC events and maintain a friendly attitude toward members and staff.

Job description

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, ensure the upkeep, repair, and appearance of the member facilities and club premises to ensure high-quality experience for members.

The Maintenance Technician will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.

• Plant Mechanic Certificate

Applicants with more experience may also be considered for the role of Senior Maintenance Technician.

Area of Responsibility

Assist the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the full spectrum of facilities and maintenance activities within the Club.

Responsibilities

• Implement all preventative maintenance programs by the Maintenance Manager.
• Completing all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and any other be turned into the Maintenance Manager as available or required.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Manager in maintaining HHYC’s fire equipment and security systems.
• Complete records on all maintenance repairs will be maintained.
• Keep good housekeeping and inventory in the workshop of all tools, parts and inventories required for proper execution of their duties. All parts and inventory must be ordered through the Maintenance manager.
• Assist in daily operations of the Club as needed by the Maintenance Manager.
• Working knowledge of all functions of the HHYC which relates to their job.
• Become familiar with all Marina emergency and essential service installations.
• Assist Maintenance Manager to set up an annual service program for HHYC equipment.
• Responsible for sourcing/costing parts and materials necessary for all HHYC maintenance requirements.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor in setting up a proper workshop and fit out with tools required for maintenance work.
• Ensure all tools have been adapted for safe use in HHYC environment.
• Assist Maintenance Manager in overseeing and costing of HHYC projects.
• Be involved with organizing HHYC events and activities.
• To maintain efficient, friendly and helpful attitude to all club members and staff.
