Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• TOGAF certification or equivalent formal architecture training is highly desirable.
• Minimum 15 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a senior Solution or Technology Architect role delivering large-scale, complex client solutions.
• Proven experience within an IT Service Provider, System Integrator, or Consultancy environment.
• Demonstrated success in designing and governing end-to-end client architectures across pre-sales and delivery phases.
• Strong knowledge across Infrastructure Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, AliCloud), Managed Services and Digital Workplace solutions, API-based integration, microservices, cybersecurity, and DevSecOps.
• Exposure to Western and Eastern technology ecosystems is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall solution architecture for client engagements, covering infrastructure, cloud, platforms, integration, security, and managed services.
• Design architectures that integrate legacy environments with modern cloud, SaaS, API-driven, and managed service platforms.
• Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements: performance, availability, scalability, security, compliance, and cost efficiency.
• Produce and govern architectural artefacts (HLDs, diagrams, data flows, design principles).
• Lead architecture and discovery workshops to capture business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Advise on architecture modernization, cloud transformation, and Build vs. Buy decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve or rationalise client architectures and strengthen partnerships.
• Partner with Sales/Pre-Sales/Delivery to support pipeline, RFPs, and proposals.
• Provide architectural guidance to delivery teams and manage design trade-offs.

Position Overview

The Technology Architect is a senior, client-facing architecture leader responsible for end-to-end solution architecture across the full client lifecycle—from opportunity shaping and pre-sales through detailed design, delivery governance, and solution assurance.

This role acts as the single architectural authority for complex client engagements, ensuring that proposed and delivered solutions are technically robust, commercially viable, secure, and clearly aligned to client business outcomes. The Technology Architect bridges business strategy and technology execution, translating client needs into scalable, supportable, and future-ready architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Solution Architecture:
• Own the overall solution architecture for client engagements, covering infrastructure, cloud, platforms, integration, security, and managed services.
• Design architectures that integrate legacy environments with modern cloud, SaaS, API-driven, and managed service platforms.
• Ensure solutions are aligned with non-functional requirements including performance, availability, scalability, security, compliance, and cost efficiency.
• Produce and govern high-quality architectural artefacts such as High-Level Designs (HLDs), architecture diagrams, data and integration flows, and design principles.
• Client Advisory Architecture Consulting:
• Act as a trusted advisor to client senior stakeholders (e.g. CIO, CTO, IT leadership), providing clear architectural direction and technology recommendations.
• Lead architecture and discovery workshops to capture business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Advise clients on architecture modernization, cloud and infrastructure transformation, digital workplace evolution, and Build vs. Buy decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve, extend, or rationalise client architectures, supporting value creation and long-term client partnerships.
• Pre-Sales Opportunity Shaping:
• Partner closely with Sales, Pre-Sales, and Delivery teams to support pipeline growth and opportunity qualification.
• Lead the technical solutioning for RFPs, RFIs, and proposals, ensuring clarity, compliance, differentiation, and competitiveness.
• Define solution scope, assumptions, risks, dependencies, effort estimation, and Bill of Materials (BOM) to support accurate and profitable pricing.
• Present solution architectures and value propositions to client stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
• Architecture Governance Delivery Assurance:
• Act as the architecture design authority throughout delivery, ensuring solutions are implemented in line with approved designs.
• Provide architectural guidance to delivery teams, resolving complex technical issues and managing design trade-offs.
• Ensure adherence to architectural standards, best practices, and security principles across all engagements.
• Proactively manage architectural risks, dependencies, and technical decisions to protect delivery outcomes.
• Commercial Stakeholder Leadership:
• Demonstrate strong commercial awareness, including pricing models (e.g. Fixed Price, Time Materials, Managed Services) and Statement of Work (SOW) development.
• Balance technical excellence with commercial realities, ensuring solutions are both fit-for-purpose and profitable.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Delivery, Operations, Security, and external partners.

Required Experience Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Architecture framework certification (e.g. TOGAF) or equivalent formal architecture training is highly desirable
• Minimum 15 years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years in a senior Solution or Technology Architect role delivering large-scale, complex client solutions.
• Proven experience within an IT Service Provider, System Integrator, or Consultancy environment.
• Demonstrated success in designing and governing end-to-end client architectures across pre-sales and delivery phases
• Strong, broad-based knowledge across:
• Infrastructure Cloud Platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, AliCloud)
• Managed Services and Digital Workplace solutions
• Integration, APIs, and modern application architectures (e.g. microservices)
• Cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and architecture security principles
• Exposure to both Western and Eastern technology ecosystems (e.g. XinChuang) is an advantage
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
