Job summary

Argyll Scott Singapore is representing a premier investment bank seeking an experienced Algorithmic Trading Java Developer to join their front-office technology team. You will contribute to a data- and model-driven e-trading platform across Asian markets.

You will own the full development lifecycle of low-latency trading and options execution platforms, work with quantitative researchers and traders, and help optimize performance with GC tuning and OS-level improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5 to 8 years in software development, ideally in electronic trading or high-frequency finance.
• Backend: expert Core Java in a UNIX/Linux environment.
• Performance engineering: GC optimization and OS-level tuning.
• Front-end: experience with Angular, JavaScript or TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain low-latency Java-based algorithmic trading and options execution platforms.
• Automate risk hedging, pricing, and execution strategies for institutional markets.
• Own the full SDLC within a rapid continuous delivery framework.
• Perform deep-level debugging and OS-level performance optimization on HFT systems.
• Develop and integrate modern front-end components for trading controls and monitoring.
• Collaborate with international researchers and traders to align feature rollouts.
