Job summary

Kum Shing (KF) Construction Co Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking an Assistant Engineer to design and monitor lighting installations, coordinating with consultants, suppliers and the client to ensure design approval and smooth execution. You will prepare lighting simulations, method statements, design submissions and quality plans, supervise FAT and site works, and compile testing reports and certificates.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
• Exposure in projects related to electrical engineering/ lighting preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Good command in written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Driver with valid license (Class 1 or 2) preferred; Assistants may be considered for less experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and monitor installation activities of lighting projects.
• Liaise with external consultants, design houses, suppliers, manufacturers to obtain product design approval.
• Prepare lighting simulation, method statements, design submissions, quality plans, and calculations per specifications.
• Coordinate with the client for meetings, FAT, interfacing issues, and installation works.
• Supervise mock-up, FAT, site installation, testing and commissioning.
• Prepare submissions including testing reports, relevant certificates and site records.
• Supervise sub-contractors for installation/site works to meet performance, safety, quality, and service targets.
