The successful candidate will have 10+ years PQE in financial services, strong leadership, and fluent English and Chinese communication, enabling effective collaboration with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of post-qualification experience in financial services (private practice or in-house).
• Experience advising on global markets, brokerage, equity derivatives or wealth management.
• Proven leadership with team management or mentoring of junior lawyers.
• Excellent stakeholder management and bilingual communication in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice for the Global Markets business.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents related to Equity Derivative, Brokerage and Wealth Management.

Job Description

As a Legal Director, your main responsibilities will include:

• Providing legal advice and guidance on a range of matters for the Global Markets business.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and other legal documents related to Equity Derivative, Brokerage and Wealth Management
• Advise stakeholders on legal, regulatory, and governance matters across regulated financial services activities.
• Identify and manage legal and regulatory risks, providing practical solutions that support business growth while maintaining compliance

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Counsel should have:

• Approximately 10+ years of post-qualification experience gained in private practice and/or in-house within the financial services sector.
• Experience supporting regulated financial institutions and advising on global markets, brokerage, equity derivative or wealth management matters.
• Proven leadership capability with experience managing teams or mentoring junior lawyers.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in English and Chinese.
