Job summary

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius is seeking a Legal & Compliance Intern in Hong Kong to assist associates and partners on Asia-based client matters. You will support research, documentation preparation, and due diligence, draft contracts, and assist in client follow-ups and regulatory communications.

The role requires a law-related degree, near-native English and Mandarin, and generally benefits from prior international law firm exposure. HK on-site position in Central district.

Qualifications

• Degree or above in Legal Studies from a reputable university
• Near native written and spoken English; native Mandarin
• Preferably 1 year of IPO/Transaction experience
• Trained at an international law firm would be an advantage

Responsibilities

• Assist associates and partners on Asia-based client assignments
• Assist Partners and other lawyers with research, documentation preparation and due diligence
• Follow up on case status and report to clients
• Draft legal contracts and agreements

Assist the Partners and other lawyers of the firm in areas like research, documentation preparation, due diligence, etc

Assisting in follow up on case status and reporting to clients

Draft legal contracts and agreements

Assist in legal research and communicate with business units on legal issues and regulatory matters

Requirements:

Degree or above in Legal Studies

Candidates should have strong academic qualifications with at least second upper level of honours of degree with reputable universities

Near native written and spoken English and native in Mandarin are essential

Preferably with at least 1 year of experience in dealing with IPO, Transaction

Trained at international law firm would be an advantage

Proficiency in MS applications including Words, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
