Job summary

Leadingnation seeks an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead design and development of solution architectures across software, data, integrations, infrastructure, and security for large-scale pension transactions.

You will translate objectives into capability maps, set standards, mentor teams, drive modern patterns like microservices and Kubernetes, ensure compliance, and partner with stakeholders to align roadmaps with business goals and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or engineering is required.
• 8+ years in IT with 4+ years in solution/enterprise architecture.
• Experience designing scalable systems for millions of users in regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of pension platforms and regulatory compliance.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese; Putonghua a plus.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of solution architectures covering software, data, integrations, infrastructure, and security for high-volume pension transactions.
• Work with stakeholders to translate objectives into capability maps, value streams, and roadmaps aligned with compliance, customer experience, and efficiency goals.
• Define and enforce enterprise architecture standards across applications, data, cloud, and security; conduct reviews to resolve dependencies and ensure target-state alignment.
• Identify and remediate technical debt in legacy systems, integrations, data quality, and security; prioritize IT initiatives by ROI, risk, and impact.
• Promote modern patterns: microservices, Kubernetes, event-driven systems (Kafka), APIs, and hybrid cloud; drive reuse to accelerate delivery.
• Research and prototype emerging technologies to enhance resilience, scalability, and performance for millions of users.
• Act as escalation point for complex issues; lead design/code reviews to maintain quality and avoid over-engineering.
• Govern projects with agile/DevOps practices including CI/CD, TDD, automation; manage vendor integrations.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, PDPO, and industry standards; embed security-by-design and disaster recovery.
• Mentor junior architects and developers, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in IT, with 4+ years in solution/enterprise architecture, ideally in financial services or large-scale transactional platforms.
• Proven experience designing scalable systems for millions of users in compliance-driven environments.
• Strong knowledge of financial/pension strategies, MPF schemes, and retirement planning in Hong Kong.
• Skilled in agile/DevOps, TDD, CI/CD, and modern architectures (API-driven, domain-driven design, 4+1 views).
• Experience managing technical debt, building ROI cases, and influencing C-level stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to explain technical visions to non-technical audiences.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese; Putonghua a plus.
• Certifications (TOGAF, SAFe, etc.) preferred; occasional travel required.
