Job summary

asmpthk is seeking a Product Safety Engineer in Hong Kong to join the product development team. You will ensure compliance with international safety standards and coordinate with external auditors to obtain certifications.

Responsibilities include pre-audit design reviews, standards interpretation, safety testing support, and risk assessments with cross-functional teams to mitigate hazards and ensure reliability of semiconductor equipment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in product safety engineering, preferably in semiconductor equipment or high-tech manufacturing.
• Proven track record of achieving compliance certifications (CE, UL, IEC 60204, SEMI S2/S8).
• Familiarity with safety standards such as CE, IEC 60204, NFPA 79.

Responsibilities

• Safety Compliance & Design Review: conduct pre-audit assessments for international safety standard alignment.
• Standards Interpretation & Implementation: translate regulations into design/testing criteria.
• Third-Party Audit Coordination: liaise with TÜV/UL/CSA and prepare audit documentation.
• Testing & Validation Support: collaborate with test engineers and perform safety tests as needed.
• Risk Assessment & Documentation: perform FMEA/Hazop and maintain technical files and safety manuals.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Legal teams.
