Join a leading private banking platform in Hong Kong as Lead Infrastructure Engineer taking technical ownership of core infrastructure services across server, network, data center, backup/DR and monitoring. You will be a senior member of a 12‑person local IT function, working closely with the Head of IT Hong Kong, IT Banking & Solutions and IT Investment Solutions teams, and coordinating with stakeholders across Asia (including Singapore and China).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support day‑to‑day infrastructure operations for servers, networks, data center facilities, storage, backup and disaster‑recovery environments, ensuring high availability, resilience and robust monitoring.
- Administer and monitor connectivity for key banking and payment systems (Including RTGS, SWIFT, FPS, ICLNet and other interfaces), partnering with operations and vendors to keep services stable, secure and compliant.
- Own infrastructure monitoring, incident and problem management processes, performing root‑cause analysis and implementing preventive and corrective actions to minimize downtime and service impact.
- Coordinate infrastructure and payment‑related projects end‑to‑end, including requirements gathering, design input, testing, rollout and post‑implementation review, clearly articulating your role and contributions.
- Manage infrastructure vendors and service providers, overseeing SLAs, reviewing performance, driving changes and ensuring deliverables align with technical, security and operational expectations.
- Support and maintain telephony/PBX/SIP/voice‑recording infrastructure, working with internal users and external vendors to provide reliable communication and recording services for front office and control functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Around 10 years’ solid infrastructure operations experience covering servers, networks, data center, backup/DR and monitoring, gained in banking or financial‑services environments (banking experience is essential).
- Hands‑on exposure to key banking connectivity and payment systems such as RTGS, SWIFT, FPS, ICLNet or similar, with strong understanding of their operational, performance and security requirements.
- Basic understanding or practical experience with telephony/PBX/SIP/voice‑recording systems in a corporate or banking context.
- Proven project coordination and vendor‑management experience, able to drive infrastructure and connectivity projects from planning through delivery and stabilization, and to communicate clearly with regional stakeholders.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with fluent written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin, and the ability to explain technical issues and project work to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
