Job summary

Michael Page's client, a global leader in green energy, seeks a Senior/Principal Software Engineer (Automated Testing) in Hong Kong to develop testing tools for a firmware platform. You will design test plans, automate with Java, JavaScript and Python, and work with the firmware team to meet specific requirements.

Lead engineers may supervise a small team; TD development, Spring, CI/CD, and Windows/Linux experience are required.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in a software development role with hands-on test automation experience.
• Proven programming in Java, JavaScript and/or Python.
• Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development.
• Experience with Spring Framework and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop software testing tools for a firmware testing platform.
• Create test plans, test cases, and automated procedures; generate validation reports.
• Collaborate with firmware team to meet specialized needs.
• Lead a small team to implement new features and address issues for reliability.
