Job summary

Symbiotic is seeking a senior product designer to lead the design function for its on-chain finance stack. You will design the full user journey, making onchain complexity legible and ensuring clear flows across the product.

You will run user research, interview users, and collaboration with Engineering to define problems and craft feasible solutions within protocol constraints. Deep fluency in Figma and prototyping is essential, with a track record of shipping DeFi products to real users.

Qualifications

• Deep on-chain fluency across wallets, approvals, signing, gas, and transaction lifecycle.
• Shipped a DeFi product to real users.
• Portfolio showing end-to-end product work across systems.
• Track record of operating autonomously in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
• Excellent cross-functional communication with Engineering.
• Deep fluency in Figma and modern prototyping workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the product design function collaborating with Leadership, Engineering, Product and Marketing teams.
• Design the full user journey for Symbiotic's product stack, making onchain complexity legible and optimising for clean user flows.
• Surface risk, exposure, and returns so users understand what they're committing to.
• Run user research: interview users and translate findings into concrete feature scopes.
• Partner with Engineering to define problems and design within protocol constraints.
