Well Image Limited is seeking a Laboratory Technician/Assistant to operate cell-analysis systems for Circulating Tumor Cell (CTC) detection, capture and analysis. Operate laboratory equipment and cell-analysis systems for Circulating Tumor Cell (CTC) detection, capture and analysis.
Perform CTC-related testing and analysis using clinical samples in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
Review and interpret test results and analytical reports generated from CTC / cancer-cell analysis systems.
Assess key analytical parameters including CTC capture efficiency, cell recovery rate, cell viability and sample quality.
Perform sample preparation and processing required for CTC detection and analysis.
Monitor instrument performance and ensure accuracy and consistency of test results.
Maintain accurate records of samples, testing procedures, machine outputs and analytical results.
Assist in evaluating and optimizing CTC testing procedures and analytical performance.
Ensure laboratory procedures comply with relevant safety, quality and operating standards.
Perform other laboratory-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
Diploma, Higher Diploma, Bachelor's degree or above in Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, Biological Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or related disciplines.
Previous hands-on experience in CTC (Circulating Tumor Cell) cancer-related clinical experiments or studies is required.
Hands-on experience operating cell-analysis, cell-capture or cancer-cell research equipment is required.
Experience with the NX One system/platform is highly preferred but not mandatory.
Candidates without NX One experience must have practical experience operating other relevant equipment for cancer-cell detection, capture, isolation or analysis.
Ability to read, understand and interpret cell-analysis results and reports is essential.
Familiarity with capture efficiency, recovery rate, cell viability and related analytical parameters is highly preferred.
Experience in microscopy, fluorescence imaging, immunostaining, flow cytometry or other cell-analysis techniques would be an advantage.
Detail-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good command of English is essential; Cantonese and Mandarin are highly desirable.
Immediate availability is highly desirable.
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following would be an advantage: CTC enrichment/isolation systems, rare-cell detection and analysis, automated cell imaging/analysis, flow cytometry, fluorescence-based cell detection, clinical cancer research or oncology-related laboratory studies.
