Job summary

OMICS EMPOWER Co,.Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking an R&D scientist to independently conduct multi-omics experiments and own at least one technical area such as single-cell sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, or metabolomics.

You will design, develop, test, and optimise workflows for research and product-development projects; perform literature reviews; maintain records and ensure compliance with SOPs and quality-management procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in onomics research and experimental design.
• Strong data collection and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct multi-omics R&D experiments, with primary responsibility for at least one technical area: single-cell sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, or metabolomics.
• Design, develop, test, and optimise experimental workflows, prototypes, and proof-of-concept solutions to support research and product-development projects.
• Execute laboratory experiments in accordance with established protocols, including sample preparation, nucleic acid extraction, library preparation, sequencing workflow support, quality control, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct literature reviews and technical research on emerging technologies, experimental methods, materials, and relevant industry developments; translate findings into practical R&D recommendations.
• Analyse experimental results, identify technical issues, and support the testing and optimisation of new or existing assay workflows, including underperforming or inactive projects as assigned.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely experimental records, raw data, protocols, and technical reports in accordance with laboratory documentation requirements.
• Maintain laboratory 5S standards and ensure that laboratory activities comply with EHS requirements, SOPs, and quality-management procedures.
• Manage laboratory consumables, reagents, and equipment, including inventory checks, maintenance coordination, and troubleshooting support.
• Collaborate closely with the R&D Leader and cross-functional teams to deliver project milestones and complete other R&D-related assignments as required.
