Job summary

Michael Page (Hong Kong) is seeking a proactive Science Laboratory Technician to support the science department in an education setting. The role involves preparing and setting up lab equipment for lessons, maintaining a safe and organized learning environment, and managing lab supplies and stock levels to ensure smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up laboratory equipment, materials and specimens to support science lessons, practical experiments and classroom activities.
• Ensure laboratories are fully prepared for classes, and maintain a clean, organised and safe learning environment at all times.
• Manage the storage, labeling and inventory of laboratory supplies, monitoring stock levels and coordinating replenishment when required.
• Conduct routine inspections of laboratory equipment, reporting faults and arranging maintenance to ensure equipment remains operational and safe. Provide day-to-day technical support to science teachers by assisting with practical lesson preparation and facilitating the smooth operation of laboratory activities.

• Proactive, dependable and service-oriented, with a genuine interest in supporting science education and student learning.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with teachers, students and the wider school community.
