Slaughter and May Hong Kong seeks a Knowledge and Training Officer to deliver high-quality research, knowhow management, and training support to the HK office, reporting to the Information Services Manager and collaborating with Training, IT and HR teams.

You will manage legal and company research, CPD event support, intranet updates, and knowledge resources, combining strong English and Chinese communication with careful, proactive service.

Qualifications

  • Experience in legal research, company searches & filings; CPD support at international law firms preferred.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese communication skills.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with AI research tools and critical evaluation of outputs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with legal, company and business/market research and filings
  • Conduct press searches and set up current awareness alerts
  • Maintain electronic and printed collections of materials and databases
  • Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to the Firm
  • Produce and organize Hong Kong knowhow, bibles and precedents
  • Provide admin, technical and logistical support for CPD and trainings
  • Update and maintain the Firm’s intranet
  • Handle ad hoc duties/projects as required by Information Services Manager or COO Asia

Job description

We are recruiting a Knowledge and Training Officer for our Hong Kong office. The candidate will report to the Information Services Manager and work with the Training, IT and HR Teams to deliver high quality research, knowhow management, and training support to members of our Hong Kong office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with legal, company and business/market research and filings
  • Conduct press searches and set up current awareness alert services
  • Help update our electronic and printed collection of legislative/regulatory materials, library books, e-subscription databases, company filings, and other information records
  • Help monitor legislative/regulatory changes and communicate updates to members of the Firm
  • Assist with producing and organising Hong Kong knowhow including bibles and precedents
  • Provide administrative, technical and logistical support in running CPD and internal trainings, and maintaining training records
  • Help update and maintain the Firm’s intranet
  • Other ad hoc duties/projects as required by the Information Services Manager or COO Asia or the Firm
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree or above; law or information management graduates will have an advantage
  • Experience in legal research, company/court searches & filings, library & knowledge management, and CPD event support at international law firms is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Well-versed in using A.I. research tools, crafting effective prompts and critically evaluating output
  • Strong sense of responsibility, able to work well independently with minimal supervision
  • High level of integrity
  • Flexible and creative mindset, hands‑on, attentive to details
  • Responsive, positive and proactive team player
  • Professional, personable and mature attitude; capable of working appropriately with people at all levels
