Assist with daily food preparation, cooking and plating according to recipes and established standards.
Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, presentation and portioning.
Carry out mise en place and ensure the kitchen is properly prepared before each service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, kitchen equipment and storage areas.
Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures at all times.
Monitor ingredient levels and inform the kitchen lead when replenishment is required.
Minimise food wastage and practise proper portion control.
Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and kitchen setup.
Work closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth and timely service.
Support stock counts, deliveries and general kitchen operations when required.
Perform other operational duties reasonably assigned by the Head Chef or management.
