Job summary

Michael Page International (HK) Ltd is seeking a Junior to mid-level Java developer in Hong Kong to build, enhance, and maintain Java-based business applications. You will provide production support for critical systems and participate in maintenance projects, collaborating with client teams to clarify requirements and deliver robust solutions.

Ideal candidates have up to 2 years of Java development experience, familiarity with Angular/ReactJS, and a working knowledge of microservices and cloud

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
• Up to 2 years of application development experience.
• Solid hands-on experience in Java development is essential.
• Exposure to Angular or ReactJS is a strong advantage.
• Understanding of microservices and cloud platforms is a plus.
• Experience with Python development is beneficial.
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools preferred.
• Knowledge of databases such as MS SQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, or Oracle is advantageous.
• Strong analytical mindset with good problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work independently under tight project timelines.
• Good written and spoken communication skills in English and Chinese.
