Job summary

WORMS Safety in Hong Kong is seeking an Accounting Officer to join our Finance team. This hands-on role covers full-set accounting, month-end reporting, audit support and daily financial operations.

The successful candidate will hold a diploma or above in accounting or finance, 1–3 years of experience, and be proficient in English and Chinese, with strong Excel skills including PivotTables, good organisation and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Handle full-set accounting including AR, AP, GL and staff reimbursements.

• Coordinate with internal departments on accounting matters and daily transactions.
• Maintain filing records and supporting documentation; prepare audit schedules.

WORMS Safety is an international quality-management group providing inspection, testing, auditing, certification, technical assistance and training services. We support brands, retailers, distributors and supply-chain partners in managing product quality, safety, compliance and risk.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Officer to join our Finance team in Hong Kong. This is a hands-on role covering full-set accounting, month-end reporting, audit support and daily finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Handle full-set accounting activities, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger and staff reimbursements
• Prepare month-end financial reports, supporting schedules and account breakdowns within tight reporting deadlines
• Perform bank reconciliations and intercompany transaction/balance reconciliations
• Coordinate with internal departments on accounting matters and daily financial transactions
• Handle petty cash, payments and supporting documentation
• Maintain accurate filing records, financial documentation and regular reporting
• Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors, banks and other relevant parties
• Provide general administrative support and handle ad hoc assignments as required

Profile

• Diploma holder or above in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• 1-3 years of experience in full-set accounting
• Up-to-date knowledge of accounting and taxation standards, as well as relevant labour regulations
• Able to work independently, manage priorities and deliver accurately under tight deadlines
• Proactive, motivated, mature and stable, with a strong sense of integrity and responsibility
• Detail-oriented, analytical and well organised
• A collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, including PivotTables
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
