Job summary
Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited is seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our IT division. You will work on mission‑critical clearing and settlement systems for HKEX’s financial infrastructure, covering the full software development lifecycle, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
Required: 5+ years in system development, strong Java, microservices, cloud platforms, and DevOps tooling.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant IT discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in system development.
- Exposure to financial services or highly regulated industries is an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Java development.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement next‑generation clearing and settlement systems to support OTC derivatives.
- Maintain and enhance the OCASS with high availability and performance.
- Conduct unit, integration, and system testing; support UAT phases.
- Collaborate closely with business users, QA teams, and other IT units to ensure delivery.
- Prepare and maintain technical and functional documentation, deployment guides, and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and system optimization.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
