Job summary

Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd (HKEX) is seeking an experienced IT professional for the IT Post-Trade Systems department to develop and maintain Derivatives Clearing systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT application development (SDLC).
• Experience in financial industry preferred; capable of handling medium to large projects.
• Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese across teams and stakeholders.
• Standard office hours with occasional day/night shift and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and services for Post-Trade systems.
• Participate in SDLC activities from requirements analysis to deployment.
• Develop and maintain automated testing tools.
• Perform unit, integration, and user acceptance testing support.
• Investigate and resolve defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
• Collaborate with business users to deliver technology solutions meeting requirements.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and support materials.
• Support production releases, system monitoring, and on-call activities as required.
• Contribute to performance tuning, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
