Job summary

Michael Page International (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead end-to-end project delivery in a financial services environment. You will develop and maintain project plans, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure successful outcomes aligned with business objectives.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, excellent communication and leadership skills, plus a track record of delivering large-scale technology projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/IT or related field.
• 8+ years of project management experience, preferably in financial services.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale technology projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to communicate with senior leadership.
• Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Solid knowledge of project governance, budgeting, risk management, and delivery methodologies.
• PMP/PMI or equivalent certification.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end project delivery including scope, budget, timelines, resources and risks.

• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks while balancing competing priorities.

As an IT Project Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

• Manage end-to-end project delivery, including scope, budget, timelines, resources, and risks.
• Develop and maintain project plans, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Partner with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define project objectives.
• Lead development teams to deliver high-quality technology solutions that meet business needs.
• Ensure appropriate project management and system development methodologies are applied throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage testing activities, including test planning, defect management, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Prepare cost-benefit analyses and provide regular project status updates to stakeholders.
• Present project progress, risks, and recommendations to senior management, steering committees, and project sponsors.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while managing competing priorities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful IT Project Manager should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of project management experience, preferably within financial services or insurance.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale technology and business application projects.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong understanding of project governance, budgeting, risk management, and delivery methodologies.
• PMP, PMI, or equivalent project management certification.
