Job summary

Huatai International Financial Holdings Company Limited is seeking an experienced technology professional to design, develop and integrate trading platform solutions across front-to-back processes in its Hong Kong operations. You will drive cross-department projects from feasibility through go-live and support, coordinating with regional teams and market infrastructure partners.

The role requires hands-on programming in Python, Java/JavaScript, C#/.Net and SQL, with strong security, resiliency

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Information System, Computer Science or related Engineering disciplines.
• 5-12 years of hands-on experience in tech development and/or support in international brokerage firms.
• Experience developing, integrating and/or supporting trading or post-trade applications.
• Knowledge of cyber-security, resiliency, IAM, change and incident management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with English and Chinese; Mandarin helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide design, development & integration solutions that enable front-to-back trading flow across multiple lines and systems.
• Drive & manage cross-departmental projects from feasibility analysis to go-live and support.
• Liaise with stakeholders across regions and with market platform providers and FMIs.
• Coordinate with infrastructure & cyber-security teams to ensure performance, capacity, stability and security.

_ Job Description: _

To grow & build-up Huatai's long-term international strategic and business initiatives covering functional areas spanning the front-to-back offices by implementing & supporting the market leading-edge technology platforms.

• Provide design, development & integration solution that enable the front-to-back trading flow across multiple business lines and systems.
• Drive & manage cross-departmental projects throughout the feasibility analysis/PoC, requirements analysis, design, implementation & integration, testing and support of the various system solution.
• Liaise with stakeholders across business departments, technology functional teams in the region (China, HK & SG), market platform providers and FMIs (such as exchanges, clearing houses) during the project life-cycle and post go-live support.
• Coordinate with infrastructure & cyber-security teams to ensure adequate system performance, capacity, stability, security and resiliency
• Provide troubleshooting, resolution and remediation follow-up on system issues and incidents.

_ Qualifications: _

• Bachelor degree in Information System, Computer Science or related Engineering disciplines
• 5 - 12 years of hands-on experience in tech development and/or support roles gaining from international brokerage firms covering in at least one of the following business/functional areas: front-office sales & trading (include e-Trading, agency, proprietary), middle/back office post-trade processing on one or many of the equities, structured products, derivatives, and/or FICC asset classes.
• Extensive hands-on experience either on developing, integrating and/or supporting of trading applications, post-trade processing applications, or risk/compliance/finance applications on in-house built or vendor platforms.
• Good understanding of the best practices on various technology's non-functional requirements such as cyber-security, resiliency, identity & access management, change management, and incident management.
• Project management skills that manage the scope, resources, timeline dependencies across departments and functional teams, definitely is a plus.
• Hands-on programming and database technical skills such as Python, Java/Java-script, C#/.Net, SQL, shell scripting, etc, definitely is a plus.
• Good understanding of the global capital market & products, such as bonds, equities and derivatives, is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of the rules & regulation related to SFC and Financial Market Infrastructures is also preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good command of both Chinese and English, conversational in Mandarin is a must.
• Strong analytical, fast learning and problem-solving skills, and able to multi-tasking under pressure.
• Self-motivated, can work independently and a good team players to build trust & rapport with stakeholders.
