Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong seeks an accomplished Investment Banker to originate and execute cross-border and regional deals across ECM, DCM, and M&A, with a strong client focus.

You will manage senior client relationships, advise on financing and capital structure, and lead multi‑jurisdictional transactions with internal and external teams to deliver timely, compliant outcomes. Fluency in English and Mandarin is required, with a proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years track record in origination and execution of Investment Banking deals.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin.

Your key responsibilities:

• Originate, lead and execute Investment Banking transactions for Chinese clients across Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, and cross-border M&A transactions

• Develop and maintain senior client relationships, providing strategic advice on financing, capital structure, growth initiatives, and cross-border opportunities

• Demonstrate strong understanding of geopolitical developments, regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and client priorities, translating insights into actionable client solutions

• Lead the execution of complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions, coordinating internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes in a timely and efficient manner.

• Drive internal approval processes and oversee the preparation, review, and negotiation of transaction documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements

• Lead client marketing initiatives, including origination efforts, strategic advisory engagements, client presentations, pitch materials, and transaction proposals

• Conduct comprehensive due diligence on clients, industries, counterparties, and target markets, ensuring adherence to the Bank’s risk, compliance, and governance standards.

• Serve as a trusted adviser and primary point of contact for clients, managing day-to-day engagement and providing guidance on transaction-related matters throughout the deal lifecycle

Your skills and experience:

• At least 10 years track record in origination and execution of Investment Banking deals

• Highly motivated and self-driven with ability to multitask across clients, projects, and geographies

• Strong understanding of the regulatory environment

• Strong quantitative skills including extensive experience with financial models and valuation techniques

• Strong communication skills and ability to manage demanding clients

• Fluency in English and Mandarin

• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
