Job summary

Investment Banking Analyst

Department：Corporate Finance Publish Time：2026/09/16 Location：Hong Kong

• Execution support: Support the full execution process, including due diligence, financial analysis, financial modelling and valuation work under the guidance of Associates and senior bankers .;


• Documentation: Prepare and update pitchbooks, company profiles, comparable analyses, information memoranda and other client / regulatory materials to a high standard of accuracy ;


• Project coordination: Assist in coordinating with external parties (lawyers, auditors, sponsors and other intermediaries) and in tracking project timelines and deliverables ;


• Research & analysis: Conduct industry, company and market research; maintain sector databases, trading comps and transaction comps for the relevant coverage group ;


• Compliance: Support deal processes in line with internal risk standards and applicable regulatory requirements (including HKEX Listing Rules and related filing materials) ;


• Coverage support: Assist senior coverage bankers in client meeting preparation, data rooms, follow-up notes and transaction structuring workstreams.

Key Requirements

• Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience in IBD, corporate finance or a closely related financial advisory role. Outstanding fresh graduates or intern-to-full-time candidates with strong deal exposure will also be considered ;


• Skills: Solid accounting and financial statement analysis; working knowledge of financial modelling and valuation (DCF, trading comps, transaction comps). Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential; familiarity with Bloomberg, Wind, Capital IQ or equivalent is preferred ;


• Languages: Native / professional Mandarin and fluent English (written and spoken) are essential. Cantonese is an advantage ;


• Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law or a related discipline from a reputable university. CPA / CFA (or candidacy) is a plus ;


• Traits: Detail-oriented, high ownership, able to work under pressure and tight deadlines; strong sense of accuracy and a collaborative team mindset.
