Job summary

Cutfield Freeman & Co. Ltd. in Central, Hong Kong, is seeking an analyst to support M&A and financing mandates across the Asia Pacific region.

The successful candidate will work with the Directors in Hong Kong and alongside CF’s global teams. A minimum of two years in investment banking, a Master’s degree in Finance, and fluency in English and Mandarin are required; remuneration is HK$25k–35k monthly.

Qualifications

• Requires at least two years of investment banking experience, with M&A exposure preferred.
• Master’s Degree in Finance or a related discipline from a well-recognized university.
• Strong command of corporate finance, valuation methodologies and accounting.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Right to work full-time in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of M&A and financing mandates to a high standard.
• Prepare marketing materials, manage due diligence, build financial models and draft transaction documentation.
• Perform valuation analyses, including DCF, trading comparables and precedent transactions.
• Provide analytical and research support to Directors, and produce high-standard pitches and proposals.
• Liaise with clients, counterparties and third-party advisors on transaction-related matters.
• Monitor market developments and keep the team informed on a timely basis.
• Travel to mainland China and overseas as required for roadshows, meetings and negotiations.

The Role:

Following sustained growth across the Asia Pacific region, the Hong Kong office is seeking to hire an additional analyst. The successful candidate will work with the Directors in Hong Kong and alongside CF&Co’s global teams.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting the execution of M&A and financing mandates to the highest standard of quality
• Preparing marketing materials, managing due diligence processes, conducting data analysis, building financial models and drafting transaction documentation
• Performing valuation analyses, including discounted cash flow, trading comparables and precedent transactions
• Providing analytical and research support to the Directors, and producing presentations, proposals and pitchbooks of a consistently high standard
• Liaising with clients, counterparties and third-party advisors on transaction-related matters
• Monitoring market developments and keeping the team informed on a timely basis
• Travelling to mainland China and overseas as required, in support of roadshows, meetings, due diligence, and commercial negotiation

Qualifications:

• At least two years' experience in investment banking; direct M&A experience preferred, with exposure to the metals and mining sector an advantage
• Master’s Degree from well-recognized universities in finance or a related discipline; a strong academic record is preferred
• Solid command of corporate finance, valuation methodologies and accounting
• Fluency in English and Chinese Mandarin
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
