Job summary

Peterson Group, a Hong Kong-based multi-family office, is seeking an Investment Analyst to support the investment team across deal sourcing, due diligence, financial analysis and portfolio monitoring.

The role spans private equity, private credit, venture capital, hedge funds and real estate, offering broad exposure to alternative investments and live transactions. The candidate should have strong analytical skills, a finance degree and 2+ years in financial services.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years’ relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, asset management, hedge funds or related financial services.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to apply AI tools while safeguarding confidential data.
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen; proactive, organised and detail-oriented.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin proficiency preferred.
• Exposure to alternative investments.

Responsibilities

• Screen investment opportunities, research markets and sectors, and prepare investment summaries.
• Build financial models covering valuations, returns and sensitivity analyses.
• Support due diligence, data room reviews, and investment committee materials.
• Monitor portfolio performance, capital calls, distributions and NAV reviews.
• Assist with transaction documentation and closing; maintain deal pipelines and databases.

Its wholly owned subsidiary, Wyndham Capital, is licensed by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) for Type 1, 4, and 9 regulated activities.

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Investment Analyst to support the investment team across deal sourcing, due diligence, financial analysis, and portfolio monitoring. This is a generalist role spanning multiple asset classes — private equity, private credit, venture capital, hedge funds, and real estate — offering broad exposure to alternative investments and direct involvement in live transactions. The role suits a candidate with a strong analytical foundation who is eager to develop a well-rounded skill set across the private and public markets investment process.

What You’ll Do

• Screen investment opportunities, research markets and sectors, and prepare investment summaries.
• Build financial models covering valuations, returns and sensitivity analyses.
• Support commercial, financial and legal due diligence, including data room reviews and tracking; prepare investment committee materials outlining findings, risks and recommendations.
• Monitor portfolio performance, capital calls, distributions and investor notices; prepare reports and dashboards, and support valuations and quarterly net asset value (NAV) reviews.
• Assist with transaction documentation and closing; maintain deal pipelines, investment databases and presentations, and support ad hoc analysis and projects.

What You’ll Bring

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years’ relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, asset management, hedge funds or related financial services.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, with a solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to apply AI tools to improve work processes while safeguarding confidential data.
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen; proactive, organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative, positive approach, strong work ethic and sense of responsibility.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin proficiency preferred.
