Job summary

Morgan McKinley Limited in Hong Kong seeks a Fabric Technical Developer specializing in intimate-wear fabrics. You will bridge material sourcing, QA, and production with global brand partners, ensuring performance and quality from concept to bulk delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in fabric technology, strong knowledge of stretch knits, and experience with ISO/AATCC/ASTM standards, plus English, Cantonese and Mandarin proficiency. Travel to regional mills is expected.

Qualifications

5–8 years of fabric technology experience in apparel manufacturing.
Experience with synthetic knits, lingerie, swimwear is preferred.
Proficient in interpreting test results and supplier specs.
Strong collaboration with global partners and mills.

Responsibilities

Technical Feasibility & Material Assessment: evaluate fabric performance, weight, stretch, and recovery; review test results against standards.
Quality Assurance & Risk Mitigation: establish technical specifications and QA guidelines; lead pre-production risk assessments; investigate non-conformances and drive corrective actions; monitor eco/chemical compliance.
Stakeholder & Client Collaboration: act as technical contact with overseas brand clients; collaborate with merchandising, development, and QA teams to resolve production challenges on the floor.
Maintain alignment with global textile testing standards (ISO, AATCC, ASTM, OEKO-TEX) and partner mills.
