Job ScopeAs
the Insurance Specialist for a premier retail bank, your key responsibility will be to:

• Drive and achieve ambitious life insurance sales targets by partnering with Relationship Managers across the retail banking and affluent customer segments.
• Provide professional, needs-based insurance advisory services to retail and mass-affluent clients, covering protection, savings, retirement, and legacy planning.
• Conduct joint client meetings with Relationship Managers to identify cross-selling opportunities and provide specialized technical insurance expertise.
• Deliver regular product training, market updates, and sharing sessions to upskill frontline branch staff on insurance solutions and selling techniques.
• Monitor sales pipelines, track conversion rates, and ensure all insurance proposals align strictly with client risk profiles and financial goals.
• Collaborate with product partners and underwriters to streamline policy issuance and tailor competitive insurance packages for retail segments.
• Maintain rigorous adherence to internal compliance standards, regulatory requirements, and sales conduct guidelines set by relevant authorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• Possess relevant local insurance intermediaries qualifications (e.g., IIQE Papers 1, 2, 3, and 5) or equivalent professional designations (e.g., CFP, ChFC).
• At least 6 to 8 years of proven experience in insurance sales, specialist advisory, or wealth management within the retail banking or insurance sector.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills with a demonstrated passion for sales and client service.
• Excellent ability to explain complex protection concepts clearly to mass-affluent and retail clients.
• Impeccable communication skills in English and Cantonese/Mandarin (both spoken and written).
