Job summary

Michael Page International (HK) Ltd is seeking a Data Analyst to support projects within the insurance sector in Hong Kong. The role focuses on accurate data analysis and reporting across finance, actuarial, and investment datasets.

You will automate data consolidation from multiple sources, develop validation checks, and deliver regulatory reporting for HKIA and AMCM. Strong Python skills and BI tooling will be essential for success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
Strong hands-on data analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
Proficiency in Python is required.
Experience with Databricks and Alteryx is highly preferred.
Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms is advantageous.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Automate and streamline consolidation of in-force and new business data from multiple source systems.
Develop and enhance data validation checks, trend analysis, and control frameworks for regulatory submissions.
Support delivery of reporting requirements for HKIA and AMCM.
Ensure data integrity across finance, actuarial, and investment datasets.
Identify opportunities to improve data flows, reporting processes, and operational efficiency.
Design, document, and maintain data transformation logic, workflows, and reporting processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable and sustainable data solutions.
