Job summary

Fueling Brains Academy in British Columbia is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to join our new childcare facility. You will create a learning environment that supports executive function development through our Left Brain, Right Brain and Movement approach and work with infants to five-year-olds.

You will collaborate with a team of ECEs, supervise children, communicate with families, and help establish classroom setups, routines, policies, and the center's culture during start-up.

Qualifications

• Diploma in ECE and BC ECE certificate required.
• Experience with infants to age 5 preferred.
• Experience in start-up/new facility settings desired.
• Knowledge of BC Early Learning Framework and ECE ethics.

Responsibilities

• Plan developmentally appropriate activities focusing on executive functions.
• Supervise children and ensure safety at all times.
• Communicate with families and involve them in center activities.
• Collaborate with staff to establish culture and routines.
• Assist in startup classroom setup and policy development.
