You will deliver high-impact, data-driven research and bespoke client services, handling equity bottom-up analyses, thematic commentary, valuation work, and capital-markets updates while offering high-touch services to select institutional clients.

Qualifications

• Extensive research and/or investment experience for institutional clients (10 yrs+).
• Proven track record and an extensive network across ASEAN equity capital markets.
• Demonstrated ability to write research.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale ASEAN equities coverage, with focus on Indonesia.
• Deliver high-impact, data-driven equity research and client services.
• Provide top-tier bespoke services to select institutional clients.

Smartkarma is seeking for a senior independent analyst to build and scale comprehensive ASEAN equities coverage, with a particular focus on Indonesia and the broader ASEAN region.

Experience delivering high-impact, data-driven research and bespoke client services.

Research coverage will entail

• Equity bottom-up analysis: company tear-sheets, channel checks, management-meeting takeaways
• Thematic commentary: economic & sectoral drivers across ASEAN markets
• Valuation and relative-value frameworks: benchmark comparisons and peer analyses
• Event-driven briefs: earnings previews, corporate actions, and capital-markets updates

You will also be expected to offer a high-touch service for select institutional clients
