Job summary

Leadingnation seeks a Mechanical Design Lead to drive the mechanical infrastructure strategy for a high-profile hyperscale data centre project in Hong Kong and APAC. You will lead design reviews, manage consultants, and ensure performance and energy efficiency from concept through commissioning.

You bring at least 2 years of direct data centre design experience, strong HVAC and chilled water knowledge, and leadership of multi-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of direct experience in mechanical design within data centres or mission-critical facilities.
Strong understanding of chilled water systems, HVAC, thermal management, fire protection, pumping and drainage systems.
Experience across concept, schematic, detailed design, construction and commissioning.

Responsibilities

Lead technical design, review, and optimization of mechanical infrastructure for hyperscale facilities.
Manage external consultants and review engineering submissions for quality and compliance.
Collaborate with leaders, project teams, contractors, and clients to deliver outcomes.
Support procurement with technical specifications and tender evaluations.
