Job summary

ByteDance in Hong Kong is seeking a Data Center Engineer to join our global team supporting hyperscale datacenters. You will participate in design reviews, commissioning tests, and on-site risk assessments to ensure reliable operation of the server fleet and infrastructure.

You should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or HVAC and hands-on experience with data center equipment such as chillers, UPS, generators, and electrical systems, with strong communication skills and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or HVAC.
• Lead commissioning tests (L1-L5) and resolve issues along the way.
• Understand global data center infrastructure standards and review drawings.
• Experience with generators, chillers, cooling towers, UPS and electrical systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate and review Data Center MEP Design for new builds to assess effectiveness and stability.
• Support technical management and evaluation for global data center infrastructure project procurement.
• Participate in Commissioning and Testing discussions to determine required tests.
• Support the DC Engineering FM team to address design limitations and risks.
• Through on-site inspections, identify risks to ensure secure and stable operation.
