Job summary

We are seeking a Data Platform Engineer for a leading financial institution in Hong Kong. You will design, build, and maintain a data platform using Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, Kubernetes, and Docker to support scalable data architectures and data lakes.

You will help automate end-to-end data pipelines (ETL/ELT), run PoCs for new tools, and operate in hybrid-cloud environments. Strong English and Chinese communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in data platform engineering.
• Proficiency in Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, Kubernetes (K8s), and Docker.
• Experience in hybrid-cloud or enterprise data environments.
• Exposure to Financial Services sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Data Platform using Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, Kubernetes (K8s), and Docker.
• Support scalable data architectures, including data lakes and data marketplaces.
• Assist in building and optimizing end-to-end data processing pipelines (ETL/ELT).
• Conduct PoC testing for emerging platform tools and alternative data technologies.
