Job summary

Leadingnation is looking for a Network Security Engineer to support trading applications for Equities & Derivatives Trading in Hong Kong. The role involves troubleshooting issues, managing user requests, and ensuring system performance.

The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of experience in network security, focusing on firewall technologies, especially Fortinet firewalls. A Fortinet certification is a must. The position offers a hybrid work model with comprehensive health coverage and performance incentives.

Job Description

• Be responsible for the trading applications of Equities & Derivatives Trading (Stocks, ETF, Warrants, Options & Futures) on various APAC markets in Windows/Linux platform
• Required to support traders, troubleshoot and diagnose functional and technical issues in the production environment
• Management and tracking of daily production problems and user request; ensure effective and timely resolution and communication to the client; report bugs back to local / overseas development teams.
• Be responsible for handling business-driven or exchange-driven projects
• Conduct system Quality Assurance testing, perform deployment or upgrade of mission critical trading applications and systems.
• Ensure adequate performance and operation of the systems - monitor the performance ⁄ operation, diagnose and address any problems.
• Follow ITIL Application Support methodology to carry out incident escalation and system change management procedures.
• Provide system and process documentation
• Morning / Lunch shift duty, weekend and holiday work are required.
• Enhance the automation and resilience of production systems to improve operational efficiency and uptime

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 - 8 years of experience in network security, with a strong focus on firewall technologies
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate) in both design and/or implementation
• Proven experience in firewall deployment projects within enterprise environments
• Fortinet certification (NSE4 or above) is required
• Good understanding of network security principles, including VPNs, NAT, IPS, and threat prevention
• Experience working in banking or financial services environments is highly preferred
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in the banking sector
