Job summary

PhotonPay is a leading fintech platform in Hong Kong seeking a Full-time Responsible Officer to oversee licensing and compliance for asset management activities. The role involves managing SFC Type 1/4/9 licensing and coordinating with regulators and internal teams.

You will establish and operate compliant financial products, conduct regulatory risk assessments, and provide guidance on HK and APAC requirements. Fluency in English and Chinese is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance is required.
• Licensed SFC representative for Type 1/4/9 with at least 3 years of substantial industry experience and management experience.
• Knowledge of Fintech, payment institutions, securities, and related HK/APAC regulations.
• Fluent in English and Chinese with strong document drafting skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the application and management of the Type 1/4/9 license, maintaining timely communication with the SFC.
• Coordinate and manage relationships for the company's financial advisory and asset management businesses domestically and internationally.
• Establish and operate financial products under the licensed entity in Hong Kong.
• Research local and overseas securities markets, develop asset allocation and investment strategies to preserve and grow investments.
• Support the Global Head of Legal and Compliance to establish a robust compliance program in HK and ensure regulatory alignment.
• Provide advice on regulatory and licensing matters to stakeholders across the business, partnership, product and operations teams.
• Identify and address compliance and regulatory risks, escalating issues to senior management.
• Develop and maintain compliance frameworks, policies and procedures for ongoing regulatory adherence.
• Conduct periodic internal compliance training and risk assessments.
