We are seeking a strategic and seasoned insurance leader to join our team as Head of Strategy – Global Insurance. Reporting jointly to the Global Head of Strategy and the co-CEOs of the insurance business, this high-impact leadership role sits at the intersection of core insurance growth, portfolio evolution, and strategic execution.

We are looking for an experienced strategist with deep, hands‑off expertise in the Asian insurance market (specifically life insurance) who can hit the ground running, drive strategic initiatives, and partner directly with senior leadership to shape the future of our insurance business.

Key Responsibilities

Your mandate will span three core pillars:

Classic Strategy:

• Drive core strategic portfolio planning, including growth initiatives, new business opportunities, industry threat analysis, and competitive benchmarking.

Transactions & Governance:

• Oversee ongoing portfolio reshaping, transition services agreement (TSA) negotiations, group SLA implications, and governance of minority interests and strategic regional partnerships. (Note: Pure transaction-focused profiles are not a fit; strategy and industry depth are mandatory).

Strategy Acceleration & Execution:

• Spearhead execution-focused strategic priorities, such as scaling health and wealth propositions in Hong Kong, expanding into emerging affluent segments, and performance-managing high-profile global partnerships.

What We’re Looking For

• Industry Expertise: Deep, demonstrated know-how in the insurance sector, with a strong emphasis on Asian insurance markets (Hong Kong or Singapore experience strongly preferred). Experience spanning life insurance is essential.
• Background: Proven track record in strategy consulting from Mckinsey, Bain, BCG, Big 4 or Tier 2 Consulting firms (with a dedicated insurance vertical focus). In-house strategy roles within leading insurance peers.
• Strategic & Execution Mindset: The ability to straddle high-level strategic planning with hands‑off tactical execution. Self-sufficient, independent, and capable of managing executive-level stakeholder relationships.
