Alaya Capital Limited seeks a Head of Research to lead sourcing and analysis in quantum communication and low earth orbit sectors. A Ph.D. is preferred and a dual STEM + Finance background is highly valued, with proven PE/VC experience and strong data‑modelling skills.

Responsibilities include industry trend research, end-to-end deal execution, due diligence, investment memo drafting, and portfolio monitoring. On-site work in Hong Kong with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required; Ph.D. preferred.
• Dual STEM + Finance background strongly preferred.
• Proven PE/VC experience is mandatory.
• Strong data modeling and quantitative analysis skills.
• Experience with deal execution and investment memos is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead industry research and deal sourcing for quantum and LEO sectors.
• Oversee due diligence, deal structuring, and negotiations.
• Draft rigorous investment memos and support IC decisions.
• Monitor portfolio performance and value creation post-investment.
• Travel frequently and coordinate with on-site teams in HK.
