Job summary

Coins, the leading crypto brand in the Philippines, seeks Head of Trading to own FX strategy, market making, and PH OTC/FX trading desk. You will set pricing, source liquidity from banks and liquidity providers, and oversee PnL and risk for the desk.

Lead a PH-based team, drive regulatory compliance, risk controls, and cross-functional collaboration with Treasury, Finance, Compliance and Engineering. A proven record in profitable FX/market making and strong leadership is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of trading experience in FX, digital assets or market making.
• 3+ years leading a trading team.
• Proven track record of running profitable FX or market making strategies with disciplined risk management.
• Deep understanding of FX markets, liquidity, pricing and execution.
• Hands-on experience with market making or liquidity provision.
• Experience in OTC trading and managing institutional or large-ticket clients preferred.
• Experience in regulated payments, exchanges, banks or trading firms; crypto exposure preferred.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills; comfortable with data, pricing models and trading systems.
• Established relationships with banks, liquidity providers, market makers and OTC counterparties.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills; fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Philippine regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the FX trading strategy across payment corridors and currency pairs, focusing on PHP and emerging-market currencies.
• Manage pricing, spreads and execution quality; source liquidity from banks, LPs and counterparties.
• Collaborate with Treasury on hedging and exposure management to align trading and balance-sheet risk.
• Design and run market making strategy for exchange order books; manage quoting, inventory, spreads and risk.
• Oversee external market makers and LPs; evaluate performance and terms.
• Work with Engineering and Product to develop trading systems, pricing engines, and connectivity.
• Build and lead PH OTC/FX trading team; hiring, performance management and training.
• Oversee OTC client pricing and execution for large trades; grow OTC volumes and client relationships.
• Establish trading risk frameworks: position limits, stop-loss, VaR and concentration limits.
• Ensure compliance with BSP requirements, AML/KYC and market conduct standards.
• Produce regular reports on PnL, exposure, volumes and desk KPIs; support audits and inquiries.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Legal and Engineering; support new market entries and launches.
