Viva Goods Company Ltd. is seeking a Head of Finance to act as a core business partner between corporate finance and the retail units. The role blends financial analysis with commercial acumen to drive profitability and strategic market insights.
You will oversee FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and governance while guiding capital allocation decisions and ERP/BI-driven improvements across the store network. Strong leadership and multi-language skills are preferred.
The Head of Finance will act as a core Business Partner to Retail brands, bridging the gap between corporate finance and the retail business units (BUs). This role is designed for a high-caliber professional who combines financial analysis with commercial acumen to drive profitability. You will not only identify deviations in performance but will also proactively provide strategic vision and market-driven insights to ensure the brand's competitive edge.
Oversee all financial operations of the BUs, including financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management, internal controls, compliance and external stakeholders.
Lead the seasonal sales forecasting process, integrating historical data with forward-looking market trends.
Act as a market advisor, monitoring macro-economic shifts, competitor movements, and local consumer behaviour to provide early warnings on potential risks.
Formulate contingency plans based on varied market scenarios.
Drive process improvements and digital transformation initiatives to streamline finance operations.
Conduct deep-dive "drill-downs" into FP&A reports to pinpoint underlying reasons for P&L variances.
Proactively identify financial or operational loopholes and data inconsistencies, ensuring high standards of data integrity and internal control.
Move beyond reporting: Deliver concrete, actionable suggestions to senior management to address identified leaks or inefficiencies.
Serve as the primary liaison between corporate finance and BUs, ensuring alignment on KPIs and budgetary constraints.
Provide high-level financial advisory on the full lifecycle of the store network, including new openings, renewals, and closures.
Perform rigorous ROI, payback period, and NPV analysis for capital expenditure (CAPEX)
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. CPA/CFA is highly preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience in Strategic Planning, FP&A, or Commercial Finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the Retail sector.
Proven track record of influencing C-Suite and Department Heads.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to cultivate trusted relationships with stakeholders.
Ability to manage workloads and deliver high-quality outputs within tight timelines.
Proficient in standard PC applications, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
Advanced financial modelling proficiency in ERPs and BI Tools.
