Job summary

Venturenix is partnering with a leading Hong Kong-based conglomerate to appoint a Head of Data Analytics based in Hong Kong. The role will spearhead data analytics, insights and BI to drive a data-driven culture across the organization.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in digital transformation, data analytics and customer insights, with strong communication skills to translate complex analyses for executives and department heads. Global collaboration and vendor management are also key.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in IT, Statistics, engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years in digital transformation, data analytics and customer insights generation.
• Experience managing a global team or in a global role is a plus.

Job description

My client is a leading Hong Kong-based blue chip conglomerate with great reputation and growth in the past 10 years. They are currently looking to expand the coverage of their global IT team and therefore they are looking for a high caliber Head of Data Analytics to lead their data analytics and insights team. The role will be based in Hong Kong. This is a business role, not a technical role.

The role as a Head of Data Analytics:

• Reporting directly to the Group CIO to create, build and lead a talented team of Data engineers, data scientist and potentially business intelligence team as well to create a data-driven culture within the company.
• The person will set the analytics, data, and business intelligence strategy for the company.
• Manage development projects, resource, utilization and production performance to C-levels.
• Act as an advocate for the organization's vision of data-driven organizational culture via regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, division and department heads and end users.
• Promote and oversee strategic relationships between internal resources and external vendors/partners.

The requirements for a Head of Data Analytics:

• Degree holder in IT, Statistics, engineering or related discipline.
• At least 10 years of working experiences, with good experiences in digital transformation, data analytics, customer insights acquisition and generation, business process innovation to drive data analytics etc. Candidates with strong background in IT Development, or custodian / clearing business would be preferred.
• Experiences managing a global team, or working on a global position would be ideal, but not essential.
• Excellent communications skills with the ability to distill complex statistical, or machine learning concept and methodologies, and articulate insights to various stakeholders across the organization.
• Proven ability to embrace and drive change in a fast-paced working environment.
• Advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or other relevant discipline.
